About Dhanauri Wetlands
Seasonal marshes in farmland near Dankaur that hold the largest sarus crane gathering in the region, sometimes over a hundred birds, plus winter waterfowl. It is unprotected and hemmed in by the Jewar airport build-out, and birders have been pushing for sanctuary status for years. Come early, stay on the bunds and keep off the crops.
