About Nakoda Jain Temple
A Jain pilgrimage in a bowl of low hills near Balotra, where the black stone Parshvanath idol is said to have been recovered from a well in the 15th century after being buried to keep it from invaders. The shrine of Nakoda Bhairav at the gate is what draws most visitors, Jain and Hindu alike, for wishes made and repaid. Posh Dashmi in January is the big fair.
