About Matsyagandha Temple and Lake
A modern Shakti temple complex on the edge of Saharsa town, named for Satyavati, the fisher girl of the Mahabharata who was called Matsyagandha. The lake beside it is where the town comes for its evening walk, and Chhath fills the ghats. It is the easiest half-day in Saharsa and a good start before Mahishi and Kandaha.
