About Kandaha Sun Temple

A 14th-century Sun temple from the Karnat period, unusual for north Bihar, with a long Sanskrit inscription cut into the stone door frame. The Surya image inside shows the god on his seven-horse chariot. The present building over the old doorway is modest, so go for the inscription and the idol, not the architecture. Chhath brings a fair.
