About Kusheshwar Asthan
An old Shiva temple that draws big Shravan and Shivratri crowds, standing in the flood country where the Kamla and Kosi spill out every year. The wetlands around it were notified as a bird sanctuary in 1994, and from November to February they hold thousands of ducks, geese and waders, with local boatmen willing to take you out. The road in is poor after the monsoon; check before you go.
