About Khudiram Bose Memorial

Khudiram Bose was eighteen when he was hanged in Muzaffarpur jail on 11 August 1908, for the bomb thrown at a carriage he believed carried the magistrate Kingsford; it killed two Englishwomen instead. He is one of the youngest revolutionaries executed by the British, and the jail is now named for him. The memorial stands inside the working jail campus, so entry depends on the gate; 11 August is when it is open to all.
