About Baba Garibnath Dham
The Shiva temple in the middle of Muzaffarpur, and the destination of one of the biggest Shravan kanwar walks in Bihar: pilgrims fill their pots at Pahleja Ghat on the Ganga near Sonepur and walk about seventy kilometres to pour the water here. Through July and August the roads into the city are lined with them. The rest of the year it is a busy but ordinary city temple.
