About Kadiyam Nurseries
Kadiyam and the villages around it, 15 km south of Rajamahendravaram, hold one of the largest clusters of plant nurseries in India, several hundred spread over thousands of acres of Godavari silt. The roadsides are lined with rows of palms, flowering shrubs, fruit grafts, bonsai and ornamental plants that are trucked across the country. Anyone can walk in, and buying a few plants to carry home is the usual plan; mornings are cooler for walking the lanes.
