About Imphal War Cemetery
A Commonwealth war cemetery, with about 1,600 graves of soldiers from the British, Indian and other forces who died in the Battle of Imphal in 1944, one of the key battles of the war in the east. Neat rows of graves, a memorial and a quiet garden fill the grounds. It is a short, calm visit and combines well with the Kangla Fort and a trip to Moirang.
