About Haleshwar Sthan
A Shiva temple three kilometres north-west of Sitamarhi that tradition links to a yagya performed by the king of Videha before the birth of Sita. The shivling is old and the building is not. Shivratri brings a fair. It is one stop on the Sitamarhi circuit rather than a place to travel for.
What to see and do
- The Haleshwar Nath shivling
- King Videha's yagya legend
- Shivratri fair
