About Chandrabhaga temples

A group of early temples on the Chandrabhaga river below Jhalrapatan, the oldest being Sheetleshwar Mahadev with an inscription of 689 CE, among the earliest dated temples in Rajasthan. Others from the 8th to the 10th century stand along the ghats, some fine, some stitched together from fragments. The Chandrabhaga cattle fair at Kartik Purnima, usually November, fills the river bank.
