About Aizawl Zoological Park
A small hillside zoo on the Sairang road west of the city, mostly animals of the Mizoram forests: hoolock gibbon, serow, Himalayan black bear, leopard cat, sambar and a good aviary. It is not a large zoo and the enclosures follow the slope, so expect a walk up and down. Useful if you want to see what lives in Dampa or Murlen without the permit and the drive.
