About Wakro
The orange belt of Lohit, a circle of Mishmi villages on the slopes above the plains about 40 km east of Tezu, where the oranges are picked from November to January and sold by the roadside. It is a pleasant, low-key place with a few homestays, the Kamlang forests at its back and Parshuram Kund within reach. Nothing to see as such; the villages and the orchards are it.
