About Van Devi Temple, Madhuban
A shrine to a forest goddess in a surviving grove near Madhuban, one of the few patches of tree cover left in a flat, wholly farmed district. The temple is simple; the walk in through the trees and the Navratri crowds are the thing. Local families picnic here on Sundays in winter.
