About Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
A 337 sq km sanctuary of silver fir, bamboo and rhododendron on a plateau above Ziro at 2400 m, one of the few places with a real clouded leopard population. The way in is the Pange trek, about 8 km on foot from the road-end at Pange forest camp, and you carry your own food and sleep in the forest hut. Leeches in the wet season, clear and cold from November. Permit from the forest office in Hapoli.
