About Sudhagad (Bhorapgad)
Sudhagad was seriously considered as the Maratha capital before Raigad was chosen. It has a big flat plateau, a ladder section on the direct route, and, unusually, a restored wooden wada on top where trekkers can sleep for a nominal fee.
What to see and do
- Overnight stay in the restored Pant Sachiv wada
- Bhoraidevi temple
- Ladder route from Thakurwadi
- Maha Darwaja modelled on Raigad's
- Sunrise over the Sarasgad and Telbaila skyline
Part of Sahyadri (Western Ghats).
