About Irshalgad
A fang of rock with a natural hole near the top, the Nedhe, visible from the Mumbai-Pune expressway. Reaching the actual pinnacle needs a rope. The slope below was hit by a major landslide in 2023, so the approach is treated with more caution now.
What to see and do
- The Nedhe rock window near the summit
- Technical pinnacle section requiring rope
- Views across to Prabalgad and Matheran
- Morbe dam and the Konkan plain below
Part of Sahyadri (Western Ghats).
