About Lingana

A free-standing rock spire on the ridge between Raigad and Torna, so sheer that the Marathas used it as a prison, there was simply nowhere for anyone to escape to. Reaching the top is a graded rock climb on fixed ropes, and coming down means a long rappel. It is one of the most coveted technical objectives in the Sahyadris.

What to see and do

Part of Sahyadri (Western Ghats).
