About Sorsan Grassland
A stretch of open grassland south-west of Baran with a large herd of blackbuck, and until the 1990s one of the last breeding grounds of the great Indian bustard in Rajasthan; the bustard is gone, the blackbuck remain. The Brahmani Mata temple on the edge holds a Shivratri fair with a well-known donkey market. Winter mornings are the time.
