About Shishunala Sharif Dargah
Shishuvinahal is the village of Shishunala Sharif, the 19th century saint-poet whose Kannada songs are sung across Karnataka and who is honoured by both Hindus and Muslims. His tomb here is tended as a shared shrine, with his guru Govinda Bhatta also remembered on the site. The annual urs in March brings singers and pilgrims from across the state. The village is about 12 km from Shiggaon off the Pune to Bengaluru highway; the shrine is simple, and the point of the visit is the atmosphere and the music.
