About Galageshwara Temple, Galaganatha
The Galageshwara temple stands on the bank of the Tungabhadra at Galaganatha village, a Kalyani Chalukya shrine of the 11th century with a tall, well-preserved stone tower. It is a single-shrine temple with a large open hall, and the carving on the tower and outer walls is crisp. The riverside setting is the main attraction and the ghats below are used for bathing during festivals. Galaganatha is about 30 km east of Haveri town and is best combined with Haveri's own Siddheshwara temple.
