About Seijosa and the Pakke River
The gateway village of Pakke Tiger Reserve on the Pakke river, an hour and a half from Tezpur through the Assam tea country. It is a Nyishi village with the range office, a forest rest house, a few homestays and the Ghora-Aabhe society office. The riverbed is broad and stony, and elephants cross it at dusk in the dry season. This is where you sleep for Pakke.
