About Pakke Paga Hornbill Festival

The only conservation festival in the state, held at Seijosa in the third week of January since 2015 to celebrate the Nyishi communities who protect the hornbills of Pakke. Three days of Nyishi dance, local food, birding walks into the reserve and talks by the forest department. Small, friendly and genuine. Seijosa has a handful of homestays and a camping ground, and they go early.
