About Sattar Ghat
The Gandak crossing on the Gopalganj side, where a long bridge now carries the road east to Kesaria, and the embankment is where this end of the district goes for Chhath and for a river breeze in winter. The Gandak is wide, fast and shifts its channel every monsoon; the embankment breaches here have made news more than once. Dry-season only, and stay off the sand.
