About Satbahini, Piru
A shrine to seven sister goddesses on a rocky rise above the Batane river at Piru, on the western edge of Aurangabad district. The images are old and the site has the feel of a village goddess cult that has grown a temple around it. Shivratri brings a large fair, and the river below, low and clear in winter, makes it a picnic spot for the district. Little documented; go for the setting.
