About Amjhar Sharif
A Sufi dargah in a village near Deo, known across south Bihar for the mango tree in its compound which is said to run red when a branch is cut. The shrine is of Hazrat Saifuddin Sultan, and the story is that his followers were slaughtered here and their blood entered the tree. Devotees tie threads to the tree for wishes. It draws Hindus and Muslims alike, and the urs is the busy time.
