About Deo Sun Temple
One of the very few Sun temples in India that faces west rather than east, and the biggest Chhath destination in Bihar after the Ganga ghats. Legend says Vishwakarma built it in a single night and turned it round; the black and brown stone shikhara is medieval. During the Kartik Chhath in October or November, and again at Chaitra Chhath in March or April, several lakh people bathe in the Surya Kund and offer arghya here.
