About Samaspur Bird Sanctuary
Six connected lakes covering about 800 hectares near Salon, notified in 1987, with a list of over 250 bird species. Winter brings greylag geese, pintail, common teal and a few thousand others; sarus, painted storks and spot-billed ducks are here all year. Boats are available at the main lake. About 120 km from Lucknow.
