About Munshiganj Shaheed Smarak
On 7 January 1921 police fired on thousands of peasants gathered at the Sai bridge here during the Awadh kisan movement, and Jawaharlal Nehru, who arrived that day, wrote about it in his autobiography. The memorial by the river is plain and well kept, and 7 January is marked every year.
