About Dalmau
An old town on a high bank of the Ganga, once a Sharqi outpost with a fort whose ruins still top the bluff. The ghats below are the best on this stretch of river, and the Kartik Purnima fair is one of the largest in the district. Local tradition links Tulsidas with the town. The bank is steep and the current fast in the monsoon.
