About Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary
A grassland sanctuary set up in 1988 for the great Indian bustard, one of the rarest birds in India. Sightings of the bustard are now very rare, but the grasslands still hold blackbuck, Indian wolf, lesser florican in season and many raptors and larks. Take permission at the forest office at Rollapadu or Nandikotkur; winter mornings are the best time.
