About Konda Reddy Fort
A stone watchtower in the middle of Kurnool town, the last standing part of a fort built under the Vijayanagara rulers and later used by the Nawabs of Kurnool. It is named after Konda Reddy, a chief of Alampur who was held prisoner here. The tower stands next to the old bus stand and takes an hour; combine it with a walk to the Tungabhadra river ghats.
