About Roing
The headquarters of Lower Dibang Valley and the base for the Mayodia pass, Mehao lake and the road to Anini, a small tidy town at the foot of the Mishmi Hills a few hours from Tinsukia in Assam over the Dhola-Sadiya bridge. Sally lake is a wooded pond on the edge of town, Nehru Van Udyan a picnic park on the Deopani river. Decent hotels, a market, and the place to sort permits for the wildlife areas.
