About Rishikesh
The town where the Ganga comes out of the hills, known for yoga, ashrams and river rafting. Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula are the two suspension bridges, and the Triveni Ghat aarti at dusk is peaceful. Rafting runs from September to June, with a break in the monsoon when the river is too high. Many people also come only for the cafes and the yoga schools. Alcohol and non-vegetarian food are mostly not available in the main town.
