About Mussoorie
The hill station above Dehradun, at about 2,000 metres, with the Mall Road, Gun Hill and a long ridge walk to Landour, where Ruskin Bond lives. Views of the snow peaks on clear days, old churches and quiet roads in Landour are the draw. It is crowded in summer holidays and misty in the monsoon, and winter nights are cold. The drive from Dehradun is about 35 km.
