About Palakollu Ksheera Ramalingeswara Temple

The Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy temple in Palakollu is a Pancharama Shiva shrine, known for a white lingam said to have been installed by Rama and for a nine storeyed gopuram, among the tallest in coastal Andhra at around 38 metres. The name comes from a legend of milk flowing from the lingam. Palakollu is 20 km from Bhimavaram towards Narsapur and is a good stop on a Pancharama circuit with Bhimavaram and Draksharamam.
