About Neemrana Fort Palace

The Chauhans who claim descent from Prithviraj built this tiered hill palace in 1464, and it was a ruin by the 1980s until the Neemrana Hotels group restored it from 1991 into one of the first heritage hotels in the country. It rises in a dozen levels up the hillside, right off the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Day visitors are let in for a fee, often tied to lunch; the zipline over the fort is a separate outfit.
