About Manihari Ghat
The Ganga here is several kilometres wide, and the ferry from Manihari to Sahibganj in Jharkhand is one of the last big river crossings in this part of India, once a steamer link in the railway network. Boats carry people, bikes and goods; the crossing takes an hour or so depending on the channel. It stops or gets rough in the monsoon, so go in the cool months.
