A village at about 1000 m in Chintapalli mandal, known as the coldest place in Andhra Pradesh, where winter mornings drop close to zero and frost settles on the fields. People drive up from Visakhapatnam, about 100 km, to camp overnight and watch the mist lift at sunrise. Thajangi reservoir and the Kothapalli waterfalls are close by. Carry warm clothes; the cold is real from December to January.
