About Kolasib
The gateway town of Mizoram on the Silchar road, 85 km north of Aizawl and the first ridge town you climb to after the Assam plain. The district is the lowest and warmest in the state and grows most of its wet rice. There is little to see in town itself, but it is the natural night halt if you are driving in, and the ridge road above it is a good first look at the country.
