About Kampil
Kampilya, capital of the Panchala kingdom of the Mahabharata, where Draupadi was born and where Arjuna won her at the swayamvar. Jains hold it as the birthplace of the 13th Tirthankara, Vimalnath, and their tirth is the best-kept thing in the village. Otherwise there is the Drupad Kila mound, a few temples and the Ganga a short walk away.
