About Fatehgarh
The cantonment twin of Farrukhabad, set up in 1777 and among the earliest British stations in the Doab. In 1857 the garrison and their families died here and in flight down the Ganga; the memorial church and old cemetery record it. The Ganga ghats at Pancha Ghat are the pleasant part. It is a working army town, so some roads are closed to you.
