About Kamandurg
Kamandurg’s trail runs through genuinely thick forest, expect leeches after rain, before a short climb to a small summit. It is one of very few places this close to Mumbai where you can walk for an hour without meeting anyone.
What to see and do
- Dense forest approach
- Astonishingly quiet for its distance from Mumbai
- Summit cisterns and ruins
- Tungareshwar sanctuary next door
Part of Sahyadri (Western Ghats).
