About Kainchi Dham
An ashram on the Nainital to Almora road, founded in 1964 around the saint Neem Karoli Baba, with a Hanuman temple and a calm riverside setting. It sees a very large crowd on 15 June, the anniversary of the temple opening, when roads are jammed for hours, so avoid that date. On other days it is peaceful and takes an hour or so. It is 17 km from Nainital.
