About Jambha
Guru Jambheshwar, who founded the Bishnoi faith in the 15th century, is said to have spent long stretches at the lake here, and Jambha is the main Bishnoi pilgrimage after Mukam. The temple and the tank draw large fairs on the Amavasya of Chaitra and Bhadra and on Phalgun Amavasya. On an ordinary day it is a quiet white temple by the water in flat scrub, with blackbuck about.
