About Jalesar Bell and Ghungroo Workshops

Jalesar has cast brass bells and dancers' ghungroos for generations, and the craft got a GI tag as Jalesar Dhatu Shilp in 2022. The workshops in the old town do the whole thing by hand, sand mould, pouring and filing, and the town cast the 2,400 kg bell installed at the Ram temple in Ayodhya in 2024. Walk in, watch, and buy a string of ghungroos or a temple bell. Patna Bird Sanctuary is 10 km away.
