About Awagarh Fort
The fort and palace of the Raja of Awagarh, a Jat estate that was one of the largest zamindaris of the Etah region in the 19th and early 20th centuries, its best-known holder Raja Balwant Singh, who endowed colleges in Agra. The complex is private and partly lived in, so it is the gate, the walls and the town from outside. Awagarh is about 28 km south of Etah.
