About Dugdheshwar Nath Temple, Rudrapur
The principal Shiva temple of Deoria district, at Rudrapur about 35 km southwest of the district town. The story is that a cow let her milk down on the buried linga every day until it was uncovered, hence the name. Shivratri and the Mondays of Shravan bring kanwariyas by the thousand; otherwise it is a large, quiet compound.
