About Chandra Tal

A crescent shaped lake at 4,300 metres, with water that changes between blue, green and orange through the day, and a Ramsar wetland. It is reached by a rough 14 km road from the Kunzum Pass, and vehicles stop 2 km before the lake. Only camping is allowed, and the night sky is superb. Leave no litter.
