About Baralacha La
A high pass at 4,890 metres on the Manali Leh highway, where the Lahaul, Spiti and Zanskar ranges meet. The Chandra, Bhaga and Yunam rivers rise from the glaciers around. The pass can be blocked by snow in June and after October, and high altitude sickness is common here.
